Once you’ve enjoyed your African bush experience check out the water sports, pirogues and fishing Senegal has to offer. The Sine Saloum Delta, with its labyrinthine waterways and lagoon is also the perfect place for exploring on canoes and pirogues – and you might even want to indulge in a spot of fishing. On the other hand you could try out some water sports; Senegal has some of the best conditions for water sports anywhere in West Africa. Boasting internationally renowned surf breaks, excellent scuba diving and snorkelling and some great winds, which make for some fine windsurfing conditions we can’t see where you’d go wrong. The water is also clear and calm in places and excellent for swimming. Despite world-class waves, the beaches around Dakar are still unknown and uncrowded – perfect for a surfing safari!
