One of our villas of choice is the resorts beautiful Special Villa. The openness of the villa means guests are constantly greeted by breath-taking sunsets. The bedroom and living room are integrated into a single exclusive and modern space that is approximately 2000sq ft. Other great features of the villa include the double bathroom, sauna with a sea view and fitted spa bath enclosed by glass ceiling and doors, which allows in lovely natural lighting.
The best feature however is priceless view from the wooden balcony, just imaging sitting in the infinity pool taking in the incredible surroundings stretching from the small island in front of the beach to the fishing village at Ganchos do Meio.
Our other villa of choice is the Emerald Villa, and what we would call the ultimate in sophistication. Spread over a great 2460sq ft area, the integrated bedroom and living areas provide modern finesse and complete comfort in your 600 thread Egyptian cotton sheets. Guests also have a wonderful sea view from the dry sauna and whirlpool bathtub, as well as a spa area with massage tatamis.
Step out for some air onto the private deck where you sit comfortably in your Chaise Longues or relax in your fan-shaped infinity-edge plunge pool. If you’re feeling romantic you can also pop open a bottle of wine from the wine cellar as you watch the sun gleam on your surroundings.
One amazing thing about this resort is there are no set mealtimes or sets locations for you to eat; food is brought to you whenever and wherever. In addition, the menu changes every day, so guests will never get bored of the food and can expect innovate dishes created by Chef Luis Salvajoli, that blend the very best local and regional products to offer an amazing experience with a unique personality. If you actually feel like eating in the restaurant you can, which is set on the beach and carved from Amazonian woodwork with open balconies that look out to sea.

There are so many activities to choose from that we’d literally be here all day listing them, so make sure when you arrive you grab the ‘Experience Guide’ so you can make your own choice. However we do recommend going scuba diving; an instructor will give you basic theoretical and practical training, then you’ll go for a 40 minute dive in the sea to a depth no more than 12 meters. If you want some treasured memories don’t forget to bring your underwater camera.
It wouldn’t be a true island trip without a visit to an island hideaway; Praia de Fora is the pride and joy of the more adventurous locals and a deserted hideaway in the middle of Ganchos bay. It is a prime location for surfers and fishermen, because of its pristine and unspoilt scenery. You can access it by a trail through the rainforest that starts from the beach at Ganchos de Fora. Enjoy the sunset as you and your loved one walk along the beautiful white sand in privacy.
